COMPANY OVERVIEW
Sunbelt Gated Access Systems of Florida provides Access Control and Gate systems headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Sunbelt offices are strategically located throughout the Sunshine State. Sunbelt employs over 30 trained technicians and educated professionals providing a wide spectrum of services to private residences, commercial complexes, municipal facilities, and multi-family housing.
SUMMARY
The Business Development Representative will support the Sunbelt teams effort as well as partner with Divisional and General Management in developing and executing local plans to drive internal growth targets.
- New Business Development (primary 65% of time, on average, during the year)
- Management Support (secondary 25% of time, on average)
(+ Administrative functions and tasks - 10% of time, on average)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:
Primary Business Development:
- Generate Sales Leads by identifying prospective new clientele and customers in All Regions of Florida, as well as other business lines.
- Work with Sunbelts marketing personnel to build and manage the sales pipeline for the region.
- Provide Proposals for Commercial, Residential and Municipal prospects; collaborate with other associates on Proposals within other business lines.
- Provide Presentations to prospects in support of Proposals (when appropriate).
- Demonstrate personal initiative by identifying leads, providing initial and follow-up contact in a timely manner, and asking for the order on behalf of Sunbelt.
- Document all business expenses and carry out companys personal expense reimbursement policies and procedures.
Secondary Management Support:
- Maintain strong lines of communication with area managers in order to identify new sales opportunities, as well as to enhance Proposals and Presentations with specific information to help us stand out from our competition.
- Attend periodic Managers Meetings in the area, in order to enhance communication and strengthen relationships within the team, carry out company directives, etc.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have any managerial roles.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a combination of field and office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a largely sedentary role.
TRAVEL:
Up to 50% travel could be expected for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Five to seven years business development experience.
- Prior experience in a customer service field is preferred.
- Experience in sales and marketing is preferred.
