Job Description

Are you a driven, energetic, self-starter sales professional looking to grow a career in the adult beverage industry? Do you enjoy being out of the office and interacting with customers every day?

We are looking for an ambitious, independent and entrepreneurial Sales Consultant responsible to grow our business in chain and independent accounts in the San Antonio area for premium brands.

You will execute the on/off-premise sales component of Mercury’s market plan. This position is responsible for driving on/off-premise sales through effective business planning, retail execution and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand territories for premium Mezcal and Wine
  • Maintain strong and effective customer relations.
  • Utilize your sales expertise to drive results
  • Successfully sale, distribute and placement of our products.
  • Conduct promotions in accounts on regular basis or when required.
  • Ensure maximum brand visibility and marketability within accounts by utilizing effective display position and current point of sale materials when appropriate.
  • Identify market specific business development opportunities.
  • Review, evaluate, and suggest pricing programs in order to ensure competitiveness in the marketplace.
  • Proactively identify challenges that new product introductions face in area of responsibility.
  • Present weekly reports on status of current and potential accounts
  • Handle deliveries as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in building territories for premium spirits and wine..
  • Ability and willingness to work independently
  • Strong industry relationships in the Austin/San Antonio, TX area.
  • Proven track record in building good relationships with customers as well as internal associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify both needs and opportunities.
  • Valid TABC certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
  • Willingness to work full-time, non-traditional, late night hours as required
  • Computer literate with the ability to use software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit
  • Must be able to move up to 55 lbs
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive a car

This position is a 1099 + Base salary + Sales Performance Incentive with huge earning potential with no earning caps.

Pay: $18,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
