Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented, experienced, technology minded Digital Solutions Business Analyst for immediate employment in AECOM’s Arlington, VA office. This position is full-time and will report to the Associate Vice President in the Technology Services Group and will support the development of digital solutions within the Environment Business line for a key client. This position will work directly with the client to facilitate the collection and digitization of telecommunication grid data and develop digital solutions within our client’s enterprise architecture. Additional responsibilities will include integration of these data with geographic information systems, telecommunication management systems, and related business systems.
The successful candidate will work independently and in close coordination with client organizations to gather and document requirements to create geospatially intelligent digital assets. This will be in support of the client’s organization to consistently plan, design, build, operate, and maintain telecommunications infrastructure. This includes client compliant Digital Engineering deliverables such as drawings, models and applications as well as other digital solutions used for collection, analysis and simulation.
This position will also have a focus on building strong client relationships while driving expanded business development opportunity through strategic client engagement. This can include positioning to expand existing work, open opportunity to provide broader or transformational digital services, as well as positioning and pursing new work with similar clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engage directly in delivery and oversight of digital solutions, enterprise platforms and implementation services to clients.
- Establish business relationships with key staff and leaders within client organizations to establish mutually agreeable service goals, gain preferred status, and drive positive net promotor scores.
- Identify and propose innovative solutions fit for client requirements.
- Identify, collect, review, and report on technical requirements to meet project goals and implement quality assurance procedures.
- Relies on expert knowledge of the digital industry, our client’s policy, procedures, and enterprise architecture that includes several “custom” and “off the shelf” products, including an ESRI enterprise deployment.
- Advises and participates in the planning, development of strategy and policy.
- Prepare Plans of Action and Milestone (POAM) documents to successfully execute work.
- Leverages our client’s enterprise architecture to provide configuration, integration, scripting and some customization services.
- Provide excellent team leadership and mentorship, critical thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with a team of Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD) to execute projects that include data collection, data storage, automation, analytics, simulation/optimization.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in engineering, GIS, Computer Science or related degree + 10 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.
- Demonstrated experience providing digital solutions to the Department of Defense.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS enterprise deployments.
- At least 5 years of experience working with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable working outside and/or traveling occasionally to support field activities.
- Experience working in secure environments.
- Significant experience with ESRI-based enterprise geographic information system.
