Position Summary:
The Business Devleopment Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining rapport with sellers and internal departments as it pertains to deal flow with America’s clients. Primary focus will be leading the deal flow team, to include the organization, coordination and execution of deal flow related work. Ensures compliance with various internal department policies and procedures, and key SOX controls by implementing and overseeing controls.
The role is a hybrid role located in our Norfolk, Virginia office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes productive working relationships with clients, ensuring pre- purchase requests are handled in a high-quality manner, consistently within established SLA’s.
- Manages the Business Devleopement Client Specialists as they lead deal flow efforts with America’s clients
- Completes quality checks on deal fundings to ensure compliance with key SOX controls and department P&Ps
- Conducts audits to ensure compliance with seller contracts, NDAs, and department P&Ps and responsible for remediation for defects found
- Collaborates with VP of Business Development on new deal opportunities
- Escalates internal and external matters to VP of BDCS and/or key client contact(s) on matters involving deal flow
- Creates management reporting of deal flow activities
- Aids in the organization, development and coordination of department procedures and workflow, makes recommendations for process improvement and oversees the development of identified enhancements
- Maintains awareness of industry and market trends for potential opportunities and propose changes when needed
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Trains and manages Business Developemnt Client Specialists as they lead PRA’s deal flow efforts with America’s clients;
- Prepares annual reviews; prepare change of status reports for employees assigned to team
- Directs client specific training programs
- Interviews employees to work on team
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing/Communications, Operations or related field and/or related work experience.
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience managing compliance with client or contracted relationships, preferably in the collections industry.
- 3 or more years managing people.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in the use of Power BI reporting, with an emphasis on the analysis of data to determine potential anomalies or outliers
- Effective organizational and time-management skills
- Must have high attention to detail
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,388.00 - $86,316.00 per year
