The opportunity:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to lead their dynamic team. This position reports directly to the President and CEO of the company.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and direct supervisors within manufacturing and sales operations to optimize production workflow and resource allocation, fostering efficiency throughout the process.
  • Strategically design equipment layout and material flow to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Set and oversee production goals, ensuring adherence to schedules and proactively addressing any operational challenges.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance overall operations efficiency.
  • Manage equipment maintenance contracts to maximize machinery uptime and performance.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the production of goods meets stringent quality standards.
  • Generate and analyze monthly operational KPI reports, utilizing data insights to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate and optimize organizational processes, workflows, and spatial utilization.
  • Uphold a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations.
  • Supervise inventory levels and conduct physical stock counts to ensure optimal stock management.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate employee performance to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or feedback promptly.
  • Liaise with various departments, including finance, HR, and logistics, to coordinate operational activities and achieve organizational goals.
  • Contribute operational insights and recommendations to strategic planning initiatives, implementing standards and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Forecast resource requirements, prepare annual budgets, and analyze expenditure variances, initiating corrective actions as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in operational management roles in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in large-format printing, millwork, and metal-cutting production management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong mechanical and technological aptitude.
  • Willingness to be hands-on as required to address operational challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel for business purposes, including trips to the US.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
