What You Will Do
The Environmental Field Services Supervisor will oversee FHR environmental technicians, and work with field execution personnel and environmental regulatory compliance system owners to ensure field work is performed as required and quality data is collected and provided to internal and/or external customers. The Environmental Field Services Supervisor will be responsible for supporting internal and 3 rd party compliance audits. The role will directly supervise the environmental field technicians who have a range of assigned capabilities that include visual inspections, analyze/monitoring assets/controls with equipment, collecting samples, and managing applicable data. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ability to supervise FHR field personnel and serve as a company sponsor for applicable contractor resources
- Understanding of the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program, associated monitoring methods, collection of data and QA/QC protocols for compliance
- Understanding of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) with regards to the field inspection and auditing requirements
- Understanding of the BWON and MSS programs and applicable field execution activities used to support compliance
- Maintain compliance records as required by company policy and environmental regulations
- Must be able to produce accurate, high quality work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
- Organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines
- Motivate, influence and drive good business decisions forward while working with a diverse workforce
- Must demonstrate initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Participate in facility audits and conduct independent audits as needed
- Ability to communicate within different levels of the FHR organization
Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
- Must be able to climb ladders (up to 100 ft), stairways, vessels, towers and pipe racks
- Respirator and fall protection usage may be required
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience in refinery setting
- 2+ years of LDAR experience and/or 4+ years of experience in environmental field execution. Specifically experience with QA/QC of data and oversight of daily work processes
- Basic level Microsoft Office skills such as creating and editing documents and tables in Word, creating and modifying spreadsheets in Excel and entering data and running reports.
- 4 years of experience in environmental field service activities (Water Sampling, Air Compliance Monitoring, Ground Water Remediation, etc)
What Will Put You Ahead
- 2 + year of experience as front-line supervisor (preferably with environmental field execution activities) working with/in refinery and/or refinery projects
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Science or other related discipline
- Working knowledge of federal and state laws governing environmental compliance
- LDAR database experience (e.g. Skybridge or LeakDAS) including working knowledge of monitoring devices (PID, FID, OGI, etc.) and sampling techniques (VOA collection, soil sampling, waste sampling, etc.)
- Class D Water Certification
This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for un-escorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
