ARCO/Murray is currently looking for a new addition to join our highly motivated Business Development team in Birmingham, AL. This opportunity will work primarily under the direction of the Business Development and Birmingham leadership team while performing a variety of tasks in support of our sales professionals such as lead generation research and managing the sales tracking process. Additionally, this person will collaborate with our marketing team to develop and maintain related marketing tactics such as drip campaigns and social media initiatives.

- Identify and qualifying target companies and contacts.
- Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and establish positive top of mind awareness
- Gain business knowledge through researching how different businesses operate, leadership structures, what their pain points are and challenges they face
- Research and analyze key economic factors that may influence market activity within specific niche markets or geographic areas in Birmingham and other potential markets.
- Secure introductory and follow-up meetings with prospects in your pipeline
- Join Business Development leadership in the preparation for, the attendance of, and help to manage the follow-up on meetings that you set
- Attend trade shows and other associations’ meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects
- Track all prospecting, leads, meetings and daily tasks
- Help develop and manage the execution of the sales plan
- Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with ARCO/Murray's marketing, project management, and senior leadership team
- Work as part of a team that collaborates and wins together!
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering (any discipline), Marketing, Communications, Finance/Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of three years’ work experience in marketing or sales-related position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to various internal organizational levels
- Exudes a positive and outgoing personality
- Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision-makers and influencers at companies and organizations
- Ability to travel as needed
