This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a broad scope of new and existing customers within the cable assembly/wire harness and general electronics industries to increase sales of products.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow an existing Cirris Sales Territory with excellence in providing fast responses and product and industry knowledge.

  • Recommend services and product enhancements to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, and establishing personal networks.

  • Meet with customers virtually and in person to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of the company's relationship with them.

  • Demonstrate and present virtually and on-site to sell and teach how to use semi-technical products to a wide range of customers.

  • Prepare and present quotes for products and services, enter orders, orders, handle questions and complaints with empathy, accuracy, and speed.

  • Answer incoming phone calls and other electronic communications from customers while carrying out other job duties.

  • Provide technical and general support to customers, distributors, co-workers, and other departments.

  • Travel to customer sites, trade events, and conferences approximately 30% of the time.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Graduation by 2025 acceptable) in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative or similar sales role

  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to plan effective trips and travel as needed.

  • Ability to use the Microsoft products (Windows, Office 365)

Travel:

This is a blend of an inside and outside sales position that maintains a geographic selling area. This will include flying, driving, and overnight hotel stays up to 30% of time. Most travel will be in North America with occasional international travel opportunities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop, and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
  • Hearing accommodation: Must be able to make and receive phone calls.
  • Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
