We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team, onsite in the Irvine, CA office. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and functionality. You’ll play a key role in the development lifecycle by designing and executing tests, identifying issues, and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
· Collaborate with developers and business analyst to understand product requirements and define testing needs.
· Identify, document, and track software defects, working with development team to ensure resolution.
· Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
· Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing to increase efficiency.
· Continuously analyze test results, report bugs, and track quality assurance metrics.
· Engage in root cause analysis and actively contribute to process improvements.
· Ensure that the final product of every release satisfies the defined requirements and meets end-user expectations.
· Work with cross-functional teams to achieve product goals, ensure user satisfaction, and meet release deadlines.
· Help establish best practices for optimizing quality control and take the initiative to identify areas to improve internal processes related to product release management and bug fixes.
· Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or related roles.
· Proficiency in writing test cases and understanding various testing methodologies.
· Strong knowledge of QA automation and testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
· Understanding of RESTful APIs and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in agile development environments.
· Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages.
· Exposure to cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
· Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Azure, C# / .NET tech stack, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server; and MVC/ WEB API.
· Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
