Job Description
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by increasing overall sales of Cablecast products among both existing customers and acquiring new ones.
As a key member of the Cablecast Management team, the VP of Sales will help develop sales and marketing strategies, document and refine sales motions, educate, coach, and manage sales teams, develop OEM channels, and connect interdepartmental communication regarding sales strategies and workflows. This role also includes influencing marketing, improving the customer journey, and representing the company at trade shows and industry events.
Cablecast serves over 1,000 customers and offers a variety of innovative subscription products, including OTT channels (Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android TV), Mobile Apps (iOS and Android), and a closed captioning service. The VP of Sales will become a product expert, with a strong understanding of video playback workflows, competitive positioning, and how Cablecast can best address the needs of municipal and government facilities and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
- Revenue Ownership: Full responsibility for achieving and exceeding Cablecast’s revenue goals.
- Sales Operations: Document and optimize sales motions, including inside sales workflows, ensuring they are clearly communicated, repeatable, and effective.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the overall sales pipeline, ensuring that it is consistently filled with high-quality opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Educate, coach, and develop the sales team to execute sales strategies effectively. Provide mentorship to foster skill development and accountability.
- Collaboration: Act as a bridge between sales, marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment on sales motions and strategies.
- Customer Relationships: Develop strategies to ensure regular, meaningful interactions with customers through the sales team and customer service.
- Partnership Development: Strengthen relationships with Tightrope’s dealer network and strategic partners.
- CRM Utilization: Leverage Salesforce CRM to manage the sales pipeline, track key metrics, and analyze data to improve performance.
- Marketing Integration: Partner with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns using Account Engagement (Salesforce), ensuring messaging aligns with customer needs and drives subscription service adoption and retention.
- Customer Success Integration: Partner with the customer success department to align sales motions.
- Accessibility Expertise: Develop a strong understanding of closed captioning and accessibility needs in municipalities.
- Industry Representation: Represent Cablecast at national and regional trade shows, dealer shows, and other events, serving as a speaker whenever possible.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the Cablecast Blog and PEG Experts Forum, positioning Cablecast as an industry leader.
The person we are looking for:
- Possesses a strong understanding of the municipal community or similar sectors, such as local government, K-12, or Higher Education.
- Demonstrates a strong record of sales leadership and measurable success.
- Has experience documenting and refining sales processes.
- Is skilled at educating and coaching sales teams to achieve results.
- Has excellent communication skills, including writing and public speaking.
- Can foster collaboration across teams and departments.
- Is proficient in using Salesforce CRM and marketing platforms.

Compensation:
Total compensation includes base salary as well as commission based on team sales. Estimated total compensation will be $120,000-$160,000.

- Hrs: 40 per wk
- Review after 90 days
- 100% remote work
