By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our customers to develop the next frontier of innovative products and services. We are a startup of less than 5 employees. This role will be the second hire in our sales organization - we have a preference for individuals who have an eagerness to eventually grow into our head of sales.

The Role

The Account Executives (AEs) primary responsibilities include selling and closing new business to existing and net new customers. The AEs work with our prospects, customers and implementation engineers (IEs) to quickly understand the needs of prospective customers and triage and build solutions for our existing customers with our IEs. As a founding account executive, you’ll apply your interpersonal skills, problem solving, and creativity to help organizations manage their business data to improve their process and build future defining products faster. You’ll define the sales processes and create the systems to help Redshift improve some of the most important industries and innovative products globally.

Core Responsibilities

  • Sales strategies - Develops effective and specific account plans to ensure revenue target delivery and sustainable growth. Develop relationships with new and existing customers to leverage and drive strategy through organizations.
  • Trusted advisor - Establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to value (value of counsel and expertise, value of solutions, value of implementation expertise). Builds a foundation on which to harvest future business opportunities and accurate account information and coaching.
  • Customer Acumen - Actively understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape. Review public information (e.g. new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect.
  • Business Planning – Develop and deliver comprehensive business plans to address customer and prospects priorities and pain points.
  • Advance and close sales opportunities - through the successful execution of the sales strategy and roadmap.

AEs responsibilities look similar to those of a Business Development role, sales role and customer success combined. You’ll work in small teams and own end-to-end execution of sales cycles for our new and existing customers. A day might span discussing the prospect pipeline, working with Implementation Engineers on demos, speaking with customer executives, or establishing strategy for your team and customers.

Your Average Day

  • Meeting with potential & current customers, while working closely with Implementation Engineers to gather demo requirements
  • Demoing tailored solutions to potential customers.
  • Driving deals to close
  • Expansion of existing customers, within the Thruline platform
  • Onboarding of new customers, within the Thruline platform
  • Frontline voice of customer support
  • Documentation of customer solutions
  • Working with the Engineering team to help guide the technical roadmap

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
  • Demonstrated expertise in selling business software solutions. Examples may include but are not limited to selling ERP implementations, selling SaaS, working in customer success roles, startup founder
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop, implement, and maintain sources of project information.

Preferences

  • 4+ years of experience in sales of complex business software / IT solutions.
  • Proven track record in business application software sales
  • Experience with manufacturing operations, logistics, or inventory management
  • Progressive career in consulting
  • Preference for a degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Information Systems, Information Technology, or other technical disciplines.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $71,265 - $121,265/year. Total compensation for this position may also include sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors. This estimate excludes the value of any potential sign-on bonus; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. The salary reflected includes commissions or variable pay, where applicable.
