Summary

As a full-time Solutions Architect (L4) you will use your experience in the MSP arena to work closely with our clients and the team to analyze business requirements, design innovative IT solutions, and oversee their implementation. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into technical solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

This is a full-time (M-F, 7am - 5pm) onsite position, in our Eugene, Oregon office with occasional evening/weekend work for time sensitive projects.

In this role you will proactively:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, and identify IT solutions that will meet them.
  • Design and develop enterprise-level solutions encompassing applications, data, infrastructure and security.
  • Develop detailed solution architectures that outline technology stacks, interfaces, platforms and integration points.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers and other technical teams to ensure the successful implementation of the solutions.
  • Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations on the suitability of various products, platforms and technologies.
  • Participate in the review and refinement of existing solutions, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing, networking and security.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to enhance their technical skills and expertise.
  • Participate in periodic Help Desk and escalations support.
  • Participate in recurring on-call rotation for after-hours support.

To thrive in this role you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • 12+ years of overall experience, to include a minimum of 5 years of enterprise, full-life cycle in architecture in the managed services (MSP) environment.
  • 10+ years technical experience with increasing responsibility.
  • 6+ years working with Windows based production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure and architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions ( Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure AD, and Entra ID implementation, management and migration.
  • Proficiency with architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus.
  • Windows Server and administering Active Directory experience (Windows PowerShell proficiency a plus).
  • Experience managing hypervisor environments (VMware experience a plus).
  • Experience with firewall, managed switch, and access point configuration.
  • Ability to assess a broad range of technologies including LAN/WAN, VPN, IPD, and overall network and systems management.
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience administering IP network services, such as SNMP, SMTP and DNS.
  • Have to ability to lift up to 50lbs on occasion.
