• JD:
• The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is a responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit.
• It is expected that the CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers, functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate.
• CSs scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care.
• The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.
• Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Clinical Supervisors employed prior to 1/1/17 who have not obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing are required to obtain BSN within 3 years from 1/1/17.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• ANCC recognized specialty certification upon hire (or within 1 year of hire).
• For clinical supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022 who have not obtained an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022.
• 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in OR.
• 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
• SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire
• 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
• 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in an OR
