Job Description

Emerson is seeking a new global business leader for our Fluid Systems Actuation product portfolio, covering both pneumatic and hydraulic technologies. This highly visible and strategically critical role, based in our Houston, Texas location, requires you to take a broad approach to driving business performance by providing strategic direction to engineering, sales, operations, and supply chain, with the support of your global team of product managers. You will be responsible for achieving profitable growth while increasing global market coverage & penetration. Drawing from industry experience, internally gleaned insights, and meticulous external study of customers and competitors, you will develop innovative ideas. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mentality and strong critical thinking skills, capable of finding innovative solutions to improve the business.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Participate in the planning process with primary focus on thought leadership in product marketing and growth & profit planning
  • Develop a complete understanding of the marketplace through continuous market research and internal thought leadership & engagement
  • Develop and implement product strategies and roadmaps that involve new product features, operational regionalization, go-to-market strategies and more
  • Lead & complete product and cross-functional business programs with meticulous adherence to Emerson’s stage gate process
  • Review & set product pricing
  • Support and create compelling marketing content (collaboratively with Marcom team)
  • Lead the entire Fluid Systems product line life cycle from cradle to grave
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners (operations, supply chain, sales, IT, and engineering) to support day-to-day business, with focus on systemic improvements

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Business (Engineering preferred)
  • 6 -10+ years experience spanning sales, marketing, engineering, and/or product management in a related industry or equivalent
  • Some direct Product Management experience is a firm requirement
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

  • MBA preferred
