About the Role
The Sales Account Executive plays a key role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding client relationships, specifically within the manufacturing and automation sectors. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and contributing to the overall growth of Spring Automation’s sales efforts. Your focus will be on selling controls and software solutions to both system integrators and end users. As a member of a growing team, you will shape Spring’s market presence, contribute to process improvements, and have a direct impact on the company’s long-term success. This position reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
In this role, you will…
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with both existing and potential clients within the manufacturing and automation sectors. Understand client needs and tailor Spring Automation’s solutions to meet those needs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calls, and industry events. Expand your book of business by targeting system integrators and end users in the automation space.
- Present Spring Automation’s controls and software solutions to prospective customers, using your deep understanding of industry needs. Craft detailed proposals that demonstrate the value of our solutions for customer success.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new opportunities, and competitive positioning. Gather customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.
- Represent Spring Automation at customer meetings and industry trade shows. Act as an ambassador of our brand and maintain a visible presence in the market.
- Track and manage your sales activities, including client interactions, pipeline management, and reporting. Ensure data accuracy and effective CRM utilization to drive strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the refinement of internal sales processes to improve efficiency. Play a role in enhancing Spring Automation’s market branding and visibility through innovative sales strategies and customer engagement
We are excited about you because you…
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. Minimum of 5+ years in technical sales, preferably 2+ years in Controls and Logistics Automation.
- Proficiency with Salesforce as a CRM tool for managing client relationships, sales pipelines, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing and automation industries, including market trends, key players, and technical solutions. Ability to speak the language of both system integrators and end users.
- Proven ability to build trust and foster long-term relationships with clients. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present solutions and negotiate deals.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A self-starter who can handle pressure and uncertainty while maintaining a positive, goal-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
