About the Role
Join the Data and AI team of a leading professional services company known for its innovation and commitment to cutting-edge technology. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing robust data integration strategies, crafting scalable data solutions, and ensuring the highest standards of data governance. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the company’s data management and analytics initiatives, driving impactful business insights.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement effective data integration solutions.
- Build, maintain, and optimize data fabric infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark and Azure Data Factory.
- Perform data modeling, including dimensional modeling, to create structured datasets for analytics and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to data governance practices to maintain data quality, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
- Plan and implement scalable data solutions on cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Work closely with various business units to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Implement data security best practices and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Collaborate in an Agile environment, using project management tools to meet deadlines effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications are a plus).
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a similar industry, such as waste management, material supply, or construction.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, ETL processes, data integration, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data lake architecture, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to create impactful dashboards for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate).
- Experience in data security implementation and privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Exposure to working in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
