Technical Inside Sales Representative
Position Description
QRC Valve Distributors (QRC) is a master distributor of downstream oil & gas valve, actuation, and Engineered product lines.
Our growing business is adding a Technical Inside Sales Representative to support quotations and order management for new and legacy product lines.
Technical Inside Sales Qualifications
- 2 – 3 Years of Experience in quotations, order management and project management.
- Proven history of successfully developing and executing inside sales processes.
- Proven knowledge of downstream valve products (gate, globe, check and ball valves) is required.
- Basic working knowledge of welding and machining would be beneficial.
- Bilingual (French and English) would be a bonus.
- Able to effectively manage internal and external customers in a high-pressure environment.
- Motivated, energetic, and eager to succeed.
- Interface directly with customers and end users.
- Very strong work ethic.
- Ability to overcome objections in a courteous and professional manner.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Multitasker with ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
- Willingness to perform other functions as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and complex ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
- Process RFQ’s accurately and within the customer’s requested timeframe.
- Enter and manage customer orders.
- Develop thorough understanding of all the technical attributes for the products sold by QRC.
- Manage third-party requirements to prepare quotes and manage orders.
- Learn and fully utilize QRC’s ERP system.
- Develop processes to qualify RFQs and to measure success rates.
- Align activities with QRC financial metrics, including revenue and margin.
- Initiate customer RGA requests.
- Provide support as necessary with NCRs.
- Documentation creation and retrieval as required.
- Support QRC’s culture by contributing to a positive workplace environment and actively promoting employee engagement.
- Perform other branch functions as required or assigned by the branch manager.
