Job Description
Extraordinary opportunity for a motivated Technical Sales Manager to support the North American and International sales efforts for Spectral Evolution’s scientific instruments.
The primary responsibility is to expand the customer base and revenue for Spectral Evolution’s spectrometer and spectroradiometer products.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and follow up leads, provide quotes, monitor opportunities, close sales and provide regular updates in the CRM and to the Sales Director on activities.
- Travel domestically to visit new and existing customers, perform sales demonstrations both virtually and in person, attend exhibitions and conferences, and provide training for distributors
- Pro-actively and professionally communicate with customers to promote and support our products.
- Create sales presentations and training material
- Assess and measure opportunities and present pricing recommendations.
- Provide customer feedback to contribute to definition, planning and marketing of new products and improvements to existing product lines
- Track leads and opportunities in the CRM, and generate reports as necessary.
- Support customers and distributors with application training, instrument operation training and troubleshooting
The ideal candidate will be energetic, well-organized, attentive to details, and have demonstrated proficiency in account management, meeting sales targets and new business development for analytical instruments or other engineered product line.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree or higher
- 3+ years technical sales or key account management experience
- Proven ability to select and support customizable instrumentation or engineered products, to prepare quotations, and negotiate and close orders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with comfort communicating with scientists of various disciplines, buyers, technicians, students and executives
- High level of self-motivation with outstanding organization skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Background in NIR spectroscopy, portable instrumentation or remote sensing instruments as plus
- Experience working with CRM systems to manage the sales process
- Proven history of meeting sales targets and growing business opportunities
This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
