About the job

Chester County Fuel Inc. currently has an opening for a Business Development/New Account Salesperson to sell preventative maintenance, heating fuels, and HVAC equipment based on the customer's needs. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of success in outbound related sales. The person must be determined, forward thinking, and hungry to grow themselves and the company. This role provides incredible long-term upside for the person who commits. Long-term upside includes items like building a team, unlimited capacity for retainer on gallons delivered*, and more.

We will provide lists of current customers for cross sell on day one, and inbound lead opportunities as outbound sales success begins.

This position is based out of Malvern, PA.

About us

Family owned and operated for almost 25 years, Chester County Fuel Oil has been servicing the heating and cooling needs of homeowners and businesses in the Chester County area and beyond. Our services include home heating fuel delivery, such as oil and BioHeat, Service Contracts for home system repairs and maintenance, home heating and cooling system replacements and installations, and other various home heating and cooling repairs, installs, and replacements.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the sales funnel from prospecting to closing.
  • Hitting and managing developed sales quotas each month.
  • Generating new business efforts through outbound prospecting efforts. A mix of all of the following should be included in the strategy: cold calling, door knocking, networking, emailing, connecting with folks on Facebook Groups, etc.
  • Remaining customer centric. Building relationships that drive long-term retainment of customers.
  • Understanding options for customers to present key selling points, system features, and benefits while remaining wholly focused on what the customer needs. - WE WILL TRAIN ON THIS! IT IS NOT EXPECTED THAT THIS INDIVIDUAL HAVE PRIOR HVAC/HEATING FUEL EXPERIENCE!
  • Working with the team to accomplish a smooth transition from sale to service.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to create new opportunities and respond to existing opportunities throughout the market.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.

How We Help You Succeed:

We will train you on heating fuel and HVAC systems/tools. We are investing in marketing efforts that help drive inbound traffic to the company. Ideas and suggestions for how to generate new business are encouraged and supported with plan and follow through. We will provide lists of current and previous customers on day one for upsells and return business.

This role’s base pay is based on scale for success. We are giving a generous time period to ramp-up and ensuring fair pay.
