Director of Professional Learning- Foss Science

Responsible for designing and executing comprehensive learning strategies to achieve the successful growth and implementation of K-12 brand high-quality instructional materials. This position requires a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee a team of full-time and contracted professional learning specialists, collaborate with customers to create custom implementation plans, design learning opportunities that enhance the knowledge of our sales team, and support sales through the delivery of product workshops, webinars, sales presentations, and sometimes RFPs.

The base salary range for this role is $100K-$125K Annually plus commission
**This position is a remote role from anywhere in the US**

Travel Expectations: 50% Travel Required, within US

Summary of Primary Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Lead a team of professional learning specialists by fostering an environment where each member feels valued, empowered, and motivated to contribute their best. Use a strategic approach to delegate work, setting quality standards, and coaching each member to deliver the content and services that exceed customer expectations and elevates the implementation of the product.
  • Product Learning Design and Delivery: Collaborate with product developers on the creation, training and delivery of high-quality learning content and resources for educators, including workshops, webinars, online courses, institutes, and other learning materials. Ensure the content is engaging, inquiry-driven, relevant, and accessible to diverse learners.
  • Learning Analytics and Measurement: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of professional learning content and delivery and utilize data and feedback to continuously evaluate and improve the impact of the content and services and determine future PL offerings.
  • Learning Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to develop a vision for internal professional learning on products, services, and the market. Design and execute learning roadmaps that address the evolving needs of team members related to products and services, as well as, support career development.
  • Sales Enablement Tools and Resources: Identify, implement, and manage tools and resources that support the sales organization in their day-to-day activities, including product knowledge training, consultation with educators, positioning professional learning in pre- and post-sale activities, and supporting RFP submissions.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with organizational leaders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to align learning initiatives with business needs and priorities. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage professional learning budget, including allocation of resources for training programs, technology investments, vendor contracts, special events and other related expenses. Ensure efficient use of resources while maximizing the impact of learning initiatives.
  • Culture and Climate: Become a steward of a safe and healthful work environment by ensuring treating all associates with dignity and respect to achieve individual and team goal, and to comply with our Core Values and safety policies.
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing AND education preferred, especially in K-12 Science education/NGSS
  • At least five years of successful experience working with K-12 educators, teachers and administrators, on implementation of high-quality instructional materials.
  • At least three years of experience managing people in a servant-leader environment
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Strong background in educational training/professional development models, es
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Experience with highly used K-12 learning management systems, Microsoft Office tools, SalesForce
