Position: Sales Engineer – Generator Systems
Location: Remote (with customer site visits)

We are looking for a dynamic and personable Sales Engineer to join our team. This role combines technical knowledge with sales expertise to design generator solutions that meet our customers' unique needs while fostering strong client relationships.
Position Overview:
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the face of our company, responsible for engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and crafting tailored generator solutions. This remote position requires frequent travel to customer sites, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex technical information into accessible, customer-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor for generator system solutions.
- Site Visits: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate customer requirements and gather critical information for system design.
- Solution Design: Develop custom generator solutions, integrating technical and operational specifications that align with customer needs. (No previous experience required, but mechanical/electrical engineer/aptidute will go a long way.)
- Proposal Development: Prepare detailed, professional proposals, including cost estimates, system specifications, and project timelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, project management, and service) to ensure seamless execution of customer solutions.
- Sales Execution: Drive the sales process from initial inquiry through to closing, negotiating contracts and securing long-term client relationships.
- Education: Stay up-to-date on generator technologies and industry trends to provide informed recommendations to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, technical sales, or engineering roles related to generators, electrical systems, or power solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: charismatic, approachable, and customer-focused with a proven ability to build trust and rapport.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and disciplined with excellent time management skills for managing a remote role and travel schedule.
- Technical understanding of generator systems and basic electrical and mechanical principles.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Google Suite, and proposal software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and selling generator systems for industrial and residential applications.
- Familiarity with load analysis, automatic transfer switches, and generator sizing tools.

Pay: $99,524.00 - $109,034.00 per year
