The Enamel Wire Operator is responsible for using machines to apply insulation to wires in accordance with manufacturers specifications and product orders.
Primary Responsibilities
. Rolls reel into jack, remove reels from payoff, reload reel or basket.
. Welds wire ends together to feed machine. Applies insulation.
. Monitors machine process, stop reel when full and change out, monitoring processes and controls to assure quality
. Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels
. Sets up ovens and runs wire through machines
. Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire, completes paperwork, records and enters data
. Place completed reel in designated location and communicates to supervisors and associates
Education Requirements
. High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
. Entry level
License(s) and/or Certification(s) Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
. Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
. Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices.

. Ability to use tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer
