Business Data Analyst
Q30 Sports Science is seeking an entry-level Operations and Data Coordinator to join our operations team. The primary focus of this role is to generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness. The Operations and Data Coordinator will play a vital role in providing meaningful insights to the business, utilizing data to communicate to our business leaders. This role is responsible for analyzing and evaluating various aspects of our sales and distribution activities, including product orders, inventory control, and order fulfillment, while driving overall process improvement.
Since its formation, Q30 has been focused on developing and marketing a groundbreaking device proven to reduce the risk and severity of traumatic brain injury in athletes and military personnel. Following years of independent research, the Q-Collar received FDA clearance in 2021 and is now available for purchase in the United States and Canada on q30.com, Amazon.com, and at various retail stores and through team sales distributors. Position Overview:
· Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance, operational effectiveness and efficiency.
· Provide meaningful insights: Collect and analyze data related to distribution and sales operations, including inventory levels and order volumes. Identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement based on data analysis, and provide regular updates and insights.
· Process Evaluation: Evaluate existing operations processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
· Leverage expertise in enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) to extract and analyze data, identifying trends and areas for optimization.
· Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations. Present findings, progress, and improvement initiatives in meetings.
· Data modeling and visualization: Utilize data modeling techniques and advanced Excel skills to create models, charts, and graphs that effectively communicate complex data sets to business stakeholders.
· Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data by implementing quality control measures and data validation techniques.
· Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with various teams on inventory control, inventory management, and customer service to gather data, understand requirements, and develop solutions for operational challenges.
· Profit-minded approach: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements through data analysis and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate measures.
· Work closely with Engineering/Product Design, Marketing, Sales and Finance to maintain inventory, fulfillment, supply chain, and business goals.
This is a full-time (5 days per week) in-person role at Q30’s office in Norwalk, CT (Fairfield County).
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Accounting or a related field; applicable experience in lieu of degree.
· 1-2 years experience. Prior experience in a product distribution environment is preferred.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools, techniques, and software, including advanced Excel functions. Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems and their data structures. Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs). Experience with Excel, Shopfiy, Ship Station, EDI, ERP, and other systems.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to set and deliver on ambitious company goals while remaining agile as priorities evolve. Desire to work in a dynamic startup environment with a focus on leading, taking action, and finding impactful solutions to difficult challenges. Remain flexible with changing business needs and adapt to solve problems as they evolve.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary (ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, plus bonus, depending on experience).
