Position(s) Supervised: Director of Training

Travel Required: Occasional as to attend annual convention and seminars, less than 25%

Compensation: Salary exempt; based on experience

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Your Role.

As the VP of Training and Development, you will collaborate with the Signal Leadership team to understand Signals key performance indicators and success behaviors to develop and establish the vision, strategy, and execution of the Signal Training experience. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with the Director of Training and department leaders to develop and build specialized training teams across the SOAP box (Sales, Operations, Administration & Promise) to drive business results across the Signal network. This role will also be highly involved in the creation and management of Signals Leadership Development program, which develops and provides business experience to Market Sales Intern graduates as they transition to the next chapter in their professional career.

Your leadership and expertise will challenge and elevate Signals field training programs and strategies in effort to reach all organizational levels within the franchise network. A successful program will empower our franchise owners and their teams to learn and develop within the brand to create and run a profitable business, all while providing a world-class service experience.


What Youll Do in This Role.

Training Strategy Development 50%

  • Understand the business performance indicators and performance gaps to advise on the strategic development of the training curriculum as the organization grows and expands.
  • Oversee the curriculum review and deployment to ensure continuous alignment and positive performance impact to the Signal KPIs.
  • Effectively communicate ideas, strategies, and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, advise, and monitor the training department budget, track expenditures, and allocate the necessary resources for existing and new programming.
  • Forecast and continuously assess the training curriculum for gaps and areas of process improvement.
  • Utilize performance data and analytics to effectively manage the success of the training curriculum.
  • Monitor and analyze franchise KPI data to ensure the deployed training initiatives are positively impacting KPIs and business results.


Team & Relationship Management 50%

  • Partner with the Director of Training to develop and build out specialized curriculum and training teams across the SOAP box to drive business performance.
  • Partner with leaders across the SOAP box to champion training initiatives in their specified field of expertise.
  • Assist the Director of Training in leading collaborations with cross-functional teams to develop effective training strategies, curriculum, and performance tracking methods.
  • Build relationships across the Signal franchise network, specifically with high performing franchise teams, to ensure alignment and results-based feedback on network training initiatives.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Degree in Business, Education, Instructional Design/Technology, Adult Learning, or related area required.
  • 7-10+ years experience in the field
  • Management experience required.
  • Demonstrated history and experience with proven results of developing a training team and strategic curriculum to accelerate business growth through deployment of varied training programs and initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of business KPIs and behavioral levers that impact results
  • Deeply passionate about Signals mission and can articulate why.
  • Willing to contribute to a Championship Culture of teamwork, passion, and collaboration.
  • Proficient in LMS tools.


Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to translate business models and company value propositions into training and development initiatives and curriculum for deployment and measurement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the understanding of individual consideration and ability to adapt when needed.
  • Ability to forecast and work on short, mid, and long-term organizational initiatives and programs.
  • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills required.
  • Demonstrated history of exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, including remote learners and field team members.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze data to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that show performance progress across the organizations.
  • Ability to influence and create a culture of continuous learning and training adoption through strong interpersonal skills that would encourage interaction and adoption.
  • Strong project management skills required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check including Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Office Environment:

As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere. Our office is a collaborative space where cross-department projects are frequent. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.You will have exposure to moderate noise levels and on occasion outside weather conditions (walking between buildings, networking events).
