Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Department: Sales – Corporate Services
Reports To: Vice President Sales – Corporate Services

General Scope of Job
Coordinates customer relationships by developing new contacts and business opportunities. Maintains existing customer base relationships and sales dollars. Responsible for preparing customer job quotes, expediting customer orders, taking phone orders, and helping resolve problems with customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Perform all sales driven activity including prospecting, lead / qualification calls, cold calls generating a minimum of regional assigned calls per day, maintain an active project list consisting of ongoing activities, maintain repeat and new business.
2. Prepare timely and accurate quotations to existing & potential customers.
3. Respond to customer’s voice & email within 24 hours from receipt of call through proper communications (i.e., telephone, fax, email & conference call).
4. Establish blanket and agreement programs with existing and new potential customers.
5. Handles all inbound calls from customer on sales related activity. Some calls may be rotated to the National Accounts Manager or National Accounts Specialist, Corporate Services (CS) for additional service. All customers call should be handled in a professional manner.
6. Gain product knowledge through resources at Sharp Packaging System, LLC.
7. Have an understanding of all Sharp Packaging machines in order to quote, sell & demo at corporate facility.
8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.

Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Experience in industrial packaging/automation preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand engineering drawings and schematics
  • Possesses strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand packaging automation and company products
  • Ability to support multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Strong in mechanical problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in machine software integration and connected equipment
  • Experience working with machine PLCs and HMIs
  • Team-Oriented: collaborates with direct and indirect team members to collectively address problems and develop solutions; effectively trains and delegates where appropriate
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient with MS Office
Travel Requirements
  • Minimal travel required.
