Commercial Sales Representative

We are seeking a professional Commercial and Industrial Sales Representative to drive growth in strategic vertical markets located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area (both in Kansas and Missouri) and surrounding areas.

A Commercial and Industrial Sales Representative works as a partner and sales consultant with their customers to determine the best water solutions for their business needs.

Salary for this position is a base salary + commission on sales, and can be anywhere from $60,000 to $120,000 or more!

At Culligan Water of Greater Kansas City, we provide simple to complex water solutions for many top brand names in the hospitality and healthcare industries as well as manufacturing and education. Culligan Water has the solutions they are looking for to improve their water quality.

Culligan's solutions include a variety of product offerings: water conditioning, water softening, reverse osmosis filtration, bottle-less coolers, deionized water services, service and preventative maintenance programs and consumable parts. Culligan provides customers flexible financing with purchase, rental or lease options.

Culligan's Commercial and Industrial Sales Representatives are expected to use a consultative, customer-focused, solution-based sales approach that sets Culligan apart from our competition.

We are looking for sales professionals with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently or as a team and a burning desire to succeed. Strong business knowledge, professional presentation skills and excellent problem-solving abilities with a commission-focused mindset is the most successful.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acquiring new accounts and growing revenue
  • Growing the existing customer base
  • Prospecting on local businesses and new construction projects
  • Establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with engineers, contractors, construction managers, and business owners and operators.

Job Expectations

  • Prospecting for new business accounts through producing self-generated sales each month and
  • Consistency in meeting and or exceeding sales revenue and profitability targets.
  • Organized with the ability to use a calendar and scheduling system

Qualifications

  • Prior sales experience in an industrial or business-to-business situation is required.
  • Familiarity with water treatment is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with hospitality, health care and/or food service industries is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, intuition and be familiar with consultative selling skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications are required.
  • A strong work ethic, the ability to both independently and in a team, and a burning desire to succeed.
  • Strong business knowledge, professional presentation skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Compensation

As a sales representative for Culligan of Greater Kansas City, you will be compensated as follows:

Work Remotely

  • This position is based at our office in Olathe. Regular travel to current and prospective clients during the week throughout the Kansas City Metro area can be expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
