We are driven by our mission to help all Canadians achieve financial security in retirement. We collaborate closely with a growing network of advisors to deliver our retirement solutions. In 2024, we doubled our client base and now serve employers and members nationwide. We are currently looking for a Territory Account Executive to help grow our advisor network in British Columbia and manage full-cycle sales for employer opportunities. You will be reporting to our Sales Manager, Western Canada and work closely with our Customer Success and Marketing teams.

What you will do:

  • Expanding Advisor Network: Grow our partner base by building and maintaining a list of qualified advisors in the region. Execute outreach strategies, including marketing drip campaigns and in-person meetings requiring travel, to engage advisors and drive interest in Common Wealth's retirement solutions. Confidently communicate value propositions to advisors, employers, and plan members to support growth in target territories.
  • Engaging and Supporting Partners: Collaborate with regional leads to activate advisors and strengthen channel partnerships. Serve as the primary point of contact for client opportunities, offering sales enablement support to help partners grow their practices. Cultivate new relationships while deepening existing ones to achieve revenue goals.
  • Employer Sales: Manage the full-cycle sales process for employer opportunities, from initial outreach and sales support to contracting and facilitating first payroll. Leverage and contribute to the sales toolkit to drive deals to closure, maintain a healthy pipeline, and achieve overall revenue targets.

Who you are:

  • Client and Relationship Focused: You have worked in a sales role or are eager to step into one, with experience in client-facing areas like delivery, customer success, or consulting. You are ready to take on a quota-carrying role, executing on deepening relationships and closing sales. You understand consultative selling and will collaborate with clients to achieve their goals. You value building strong relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams, thriving in a collaborative environment with cross-team involvement.
  • Effective Communicator: In this role, you will engage with various stakeholders, including channel partners, business owners, Heads of HR, and present to groups ranging from 20 to 200 people in educational sessions. You embrace opportunities to practice demos with the team and are committed to continuously refining your messaging. You are confident, clear, and adaptable in your communication, ensuring your message resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Curious and Adaptable: Your curiosity drives you to ask insightful questions, deepen your understanding of the market, and identify ways to continuously improve. You are coachable, eager to learn, and adaptable in how you execute tasks.
  • Self-Management and Autonomy: This role demands a high level of autonomy in managing partner and deal pipelines, coordinating meetings, and keeping tasks on track. You have a proven ability to stay organized, prioritize effectively, and drive progress toward topline goals. You take ownership of your responsibilities, ensuring steady momentum and delivering results without the need for constant oversight.
  • Helpful but Not Required: Knowledge of Group Benefits, Group Retirement Services, B2B sales, or partnerships is advantageous, but not essential.
