Canadian Appliance Source is seeking a hard-working and dependable new addition to its operations management team. As an integral member of our team, you will provide support to the COO in the day to day operations of the business! In the beginning the successful candidate will spend time learning in depth multiple departments at CAS. As the person gains knowledge, and internal systems, they will begin to work in coordination with department heads not only on existing day to day activities, also new projects as they arise.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

General

  • Encourage efficiency in various departments including but not limited to operations, warehouse, delivery, customer care, sales, and aftersales
  • provide costing analysis
  • Maintain and introduce cost control measures
  • Ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate
  • Responsible for the checks and balances both operationally and financially
  • create and promote operational efficiency
  • create/improve operational systems and best practices
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Organize regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates on the project status/milestones and solicit feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between all relevant departments to address any issues or concerns that may arise during project planning and delivery.
  • Track and analyze project data to prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing project performance, key insights, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing processes, and strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, comfortable with validating specs and measurements

People Management

  • Hire, train, and performance manage for all areas of the business
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and provide hands on work as needed
  • Be the point of contact for all leaders on projects, change management, direct reports

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years in a leadership role where you could directly impact company results, preferably in multi unit environments
  • Experience in a fast paced, multi responsibility role and strong operations management background
  • Extremely Organized with a high degree for attention to detail
  • Strong Leadership/People Management Skills
  • Ability to understand and implement technology quickly
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Expert time management skills and the ability to work under time constraints
  • Project management experience
  • Strong leadership record with the ability to influence and build relationships
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Results focused leader that consistently drives for best outcome
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities, including problem solving and the ability to work with ambiguity
  • Must be able to build trust and rapport with business partners, confronting and resolving issues and ability to overcome resistance
  • Effective verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel nationally within Canada
  • A valid driving license is required
  • Own personal vehicle for local travel
  • Position is on-site at Head Office five days a week
