Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT Business Analyst II, Digital Workplace is a member of the Digital Workplace Team, and collaborates with Staff/Customers of the Medical Center.Works closely with customers to support, promotes, and utilizes digital workplace tools (M365) and includes SharePoint. Works proactively and demonstrates a strong understanding of digital workplace environments and tools, excellent communication skills, is well organized, and a self-starter.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Documents current state and future state process and conducts gap analysis for assigned projects. Works with user communities to understand and document business requirements for assigned projects.
- Evaluates complex business processes to identify needs, problems and opportunities. Develops strategies to maximize opportunities/value delivery. Engages with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value. Writes business cases for future potential projects. Leads estimation and provides input for planning of future work with Project Management Office.
- Delivers assigned tasks in alignment with project plans and estimates. Participates in project communications/meetings to promote and communicate project goals, timeframe and high-level changes.
- Participates in, and may be asked to lead, design reviews and code/configuration walkthroughs with technical, functional and/or vendor teams.
- Participates in, and may be asked to lead, retrospective events with a continuous improvement mindset. Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities. Shares knowledge, provides cross-training, peer support.
- Keeps current with business and strategic goals. Understands other University service providers. Develops and maintains a broad knowledge of University roles, processes, tools and architecture to better understand how the team works together to meet users' needs. Develops a broad knowledge of related industry standards, best practices, regulations, and related technologies.
- Participates in, and may be asked to lead, smaller projects/enhancements, delivering tasks in alignment with project plans and estimates.
- Works closely with functional and technical testers to prepare test plans, test scenarios and test data to complete testing and business process validation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Science or Engineering required
- 3 years of relevant experience required
- or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience required.
- Clinical or higher education experience preferred
- Experience with project management from planning through implementation preferred
- ServiceNow, JIRA and/or Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software experience preferred
- Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical and problem solving skills required
- Proven track record executing multiple work streams and producing consistent results required
- Ability to distill technical information into succinct and digestible information for a broad, non-technical audience required
- Extensive computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Teams and PowerPoint preferred
- Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Professional Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) preferred

Pay Range
Pay Range: $63,815 - $95,723 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined byconsidering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
