Job Description
Summary
Responsible for providing sales support to specified Region(s) of Sales Team. Continually maintaining an in-depth knowledge of products and processes across all APCO brands, managing and assisting with deal setups/maintenance and assisting as needed to help support regional revenue goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains relationships with sales representatives in assigned region(s) ensuring sales support needs are being met.
- Proactively communicates with sales representatives to help identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Responds to inbound inquiries from sales representatives within a timely fashion.
- Subject matter expert on products and rates, managing/providing rate card requests and ensures newest versions of rate cards are being used.
- Works with other departments (e.g. Risk) to identify when exceptions should be made and communicate appropriately to all need to know parties.
- Assists with securing required documentation for all sales related processes, including signup paperwork, commission changes and ensuring documentation is distributed to implementors.
- Set up users and train as needed for sales related portals such as seller sign up portal and online store.
- Work closely with set up teams to ensure all information/documentation is received to complete set ups in a timely fashion.
- Assist sales representatives with preparation needed to prospect or pitch new customers; working with Marketing department to ensure materials are accurate and up to date.
- Gathers necessary information for new product requests, discusses requests with management and facilitates requests to Product Development Team.
- Completes FAST Helpdesk tickets as assigned within reasonable times, prioritizing highest revenue opportunities.
- Assist with communicating and supporting company sales initiatives and sales strategy. including providing custom reports, identify opportunities and follow up.
- Effectively manage escalated items and document appropriately to management as needed.
- Assist other departments as needed with Regional Sales Operations requests.
- Assist with communication, training and development of materials needed for new product launches and new processes.
- Provide back-up when needed to Dealer Support Team.
- Attend virtually or in person sales meetings as requested.
- Participates in and provides cross training to/with other team members.
- All other duties as assigned by Vice President Sales Operations.
- Stay current with professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
- Understands the department and company’s overall goals and objectives and does all that is reasonably required to assist in achieving those goals and objectives.
Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
- Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Business Administration or related field
- A minimum of 2 years industry experience; preferably in a dealership.
- Prior F&I experience a plus.
Skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point) experience required
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time.
