Mission of the Role: The mission of the Procurement Specialist is to work with staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure efficient, reliable, accurate and trackable purchasing operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the procurement process for goods and services required for the company's operations.
  • Drive and implement a new purchasing process, using Autotask to record quotes, purchases, shipment tracking and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Take requests from various teams to order computers, servers, and networking hardware
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Coordinate the hardware shipping (incoming/outgoing) to and from the office
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents and deliver to the right department
  • label and store hardware for customers

Requirements and desired skillset:

  • Degree or Certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM), or related field, is an asset.
  • 2-5 years of previous experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a managed services or similar industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive change for the better.
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools.
  • Experience working with Autotask is a great asset
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with contract management and vendor relationship management.
  • Experience of working with, negotiating, and managing suppliers.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Good understanding of IT technology and Hardware
  • Experience working with QuickBooks Online to enter in bills
