About the role:
As an E3 Project Engineer at MSR Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the Operations Department, overseeing project initiation, design and development, manufacturing/building, quality assurance and control, project delivery, and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for integrating sustainable practices and environmental considerations into your work while ensuring high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will be involved in various core areas, including municipal waste regulation (MWR) reporting, MWR drawings, MWR environmental impact study, sewerage system regulation (SSR) filing, civil design, storm/rainwater management, water design, equipment supply, construction service, operations and maintenance, and soils management.
What you'll get to do:
- Initiate and scope projects based on customer requirements, aligning with our mission of providing innovative and value-added civil engineering services.
- Collaborate with the sales department and customers to finalize project specifications, incorporating innovative engineering practices and cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of materials, emphasizing sustainable sourcing practices and environmental responsibility.
- Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards, ensuring adherence to relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Manage project delivery according to defined timelines and budget, ensuring effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Enhance water and wastewater designs by thoroughly understanding regulatory requirements and applying innovative approaches, while prioritizing environmental protection and safeguarding human health.
- Conduct environmental impact studies, assess potential risks, and propose mitigation measures.
- Develop civil engineering designs considering factors such as site layout, drainage, and infrastructure requirements.
- Design stormwater and rainwater management systems, implementing strategies for effective water collection, storage, and drainage.
- Create designs for water supply and distribution systems, ensuring efficient and reliable water infrastructure for clients.
- Coordinate procurement and supply of specialized engineering equipment, maintaining relationships with suppliers and managing inventory.
- Oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for completed projects, conducting regular inspections and troubleshooting issues.
- Evaluate soil properties and conditions for construction projects, developing soil management plans to address potential challenges.

- Successful implementation of civil design, storm/rainwater management, water design, equipment supply, construction service, operations and maintenance projects.
Skills & experience you'll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience specializing in decentralized sewer, water, and stormwater systems, in Canada.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing in British Columbia.
- Proficiency in specialized design software for water and sewer design.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of discipline engineering functions.
- Technical knowledge of water and wastewater processes.
- Experience in project management, including design, planning, and controls.
- Passion for sustainable and environmental practices.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and professional ethics.
- Valid BC driver’s license
