Blakley’s Flooring in Indianapolis, IN is looking to hire a New Homes/Builder Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. What We Offer:
  • Salary: $50,000 to $75,000 (based on experience)
    • 6 months guaranteed salary then move into draw against commission
  • Full Time:40 hrs./5-day work week (Monday – Friday, weekend availability based on appointments)

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect for new business within the community
  • Provide outstanding service to determine customer’s overall flooring and design needs
  • Build client relationships and ensure follow up is completed on all jobs
  • Schedule consultation appointments to meet with clients in their home, workplace, or the showroom
  • Keep up to date on the wide selection of products and services provided
  • Gather space/area measurements and calculate number of materials needed for project
  • Create/present project proposals to clients for approval, provide any floor sample suggestions, and ensure quality control for active projects
  • Build positive relationships with operations team to ensure projects are completed in timely manner
  • Maintain showroom by keeping samples, displays and common areas neat, current, and clean

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven work experience in Flooring Sales, Outside Sales, Interior Design, Construction, or similar role
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable form of transportation
  • Must have basic computer/social media knowledge and math skills
  • Must be able to read floor plan drawings & create project estimates
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Utilize various forms of communication to follow up with vendors/suppliers & clients
  • Advanced time management skills and detailed oriented
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to customers’ needs and wants
  • Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
  • Ability to achieve sales goals effectively
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, yet within a team setting
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong personal and professional judgment
  • A positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations
  • Knowledge of RFMS a plus (Willing to train)
