GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Sales Manager - Thunder Bay Region, the Sales Associate helps the company to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. They are responsible for maximizing sales potential, crafting marketing and sales plans, and justifying those to plans to the upper management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully contributing to the sales team.
- Contribute to and implement a strategic area business and corporate marketing plans that expand company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Lead guests through factory visits.
- Meet with clients for scheduled appointments, that might occasionally be scheduled after business hours.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Ensure all customer contact information is collected and recorded in the CRM system (Buildertrend).
- Collect all the information required for design from the customer (e.g., colour choices, upgrades, …).
- Work with the design team to get renditions, floor plans, and any other sales/marketing material adjusted as necessary.
- Collect all the necessary project management information (e.g., property, services, foundations, …) at the sales stage of the project.
- Contributes to the creation and review of marketing materials as well as website content and maintenance.
- Prepare and review sales documents.
- Keep your supervisor up to date of individual and team progress and reporting any job-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years proven successful previous experience as a sales representative consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Competent under the Ontario Health and Safety Act.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the public.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently when needed, and positively work as a team member.
- Advance computer skills (Microsoft Office, CRM, Buildertrend, etc.), and adaptability to new technology.
