SUMMARY
The Business Development Rep is responsible for contacting referrals, creating new referral sources, and maintaining relationships with all referrals to build the Company’s client base. Consistently demonstrates the Company’s values of uncompromising care, relentless compassion, and unconditional joyful spirit.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops, creates, and builds a contact/referral database in assigned territory; increases referrals (by calling on all identified target market groups, organizations, hospitals, treatment centers, and professionals).
2. Develop long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
3. Raise public awareness and knowledge base of Alis Behavioral Health with the public and professionals.
4. Delivers key presentations to clients.
5. Represents Alis Behavioral Health at trade associations and other public events.
6. Monitors and evaluates the activities of the competition.
7. Monitors admissions/marketing results by:
- Weekly contact reports to the supervisor.
- Weekly admissions report to supervisor.
8. Exercises initiative in researching new marketing opportunities and tools.
9. Targets (1-2 or more) yearly identified market focus geographical areas.
10. Meets monthly objectives, quotas, and sales revenues.
11. Acts as liaison to professionals with both the admissions and the clinical staff.
12. Conducts tours as needed.
13. Can travel locally and overnight as needed.
14. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or Business
a. Master’s in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling preferred
2. Proven record of progressive sales and new business development
3. Healthcare experience, especially behavioral health care, preferred.

4. Documents all visits and calls consistently.
5. Spends 70% of his/her time working with current referents, strategically developing new ones and marketing. Spends 30% of his/her time working with direct clinical care, when requested.

7. Demonstrates integrity in all activities (leadership quality).
8. Demonstrates persistence in achieving goals.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Demonstrates advanced-level knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards with The Joint Commission (TJC).
2. Highly skilled in clearly and concisely communicating ideas and instructions, verbally and in writing.
3. Completes initial orientation and annual competency requirements as follows:
a. Current NPI Number
b. Annual flu shot and documentation.
c. Annual mandatory report training
d. Annual diversity & inclusion training.
e. Annual de-escalation training.
f. Current and updated CPR training
g. ADA compliance training
h. HIPPA privacy training
i. Active liability insurance
j. Current mandatory disclosure statement
k. Annual sexual harassment training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, climb stairs, and possibly for extended periods.
2. Required to lift and move objects that are up to 40 pounds.
3. Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities necessary to perform the abovementioned functions.
ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULING
1. Work is performed Monday through Friday, and hours of operation are between 9 am -7 pm.
2. Business Development Representative is generally expected to work five days between Monday- Friday.
3. Duties involve contact with clients who may be suicidal, homicidal, depressed, anxious, or have panic attacks and are still learning to self-regulate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
