Job Description

As a Manufacturing Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and market growth for our local contract sales and our innovative agricultural attachments and implement departments. You’ll play a pivotal role in introducing products to the market, building brand awareness, and driving sales. Your mission is to connect with potential customers, showcase our product’s value, and contribute to the brand’s growth. Your primary sales focus will be on understanding customer needs, building strong relationships with dealers, and contributing to product improvement ideas. This position offers autonomy, commission-based compensation, and the opportunity to help shape the future of our growing brand and product offerings. Sales are mostly B2B with some opportunity for direct sales to consumers.
Key Job Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
Spend considerable amount of time in the field, building relationships with local dealers and customers. Understand customer requirements, pain points, and preferences related to agricultural equipment attachments.
Connect with local manufacturers and businesses to grow contract manufacturing portfolio. Prospect leads and engage in meaningful conversations.
Engage with customers during factory tours of our new facility and state-of-the-art equipment.
Gather and share insights on market trends and needs.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including features, benefits, and unique selling points.
Familiarize self with ProForm’s manufacturing capabilities and quality expectations.
Be well-versed in similar products available in the marketplace and create an effective sales pitch to showcase our products while respecting competitors.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with your manager to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
Maintain a close link with the operations to provide real-time feedback on product quality, unique ideas, and improvements.
Expedite the resolution of customer quality complaints in a professional manner to maximize satisfaction in a way that is right by the customer and fair for the company.
Communication and Organization:
Communicate clearly with dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Organize sales visits, presentations, and follow-ups efficiently.
Ensure timely responses to inquiries and requests.
Consistently update and organize customer information in company CRM.
Self-Motivation and Autonomy:
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Work with manager to set ambitious and attainable sales targets and proactively pursue them.
Demonstrate resilience and adaptability.
Territory Management:
Agricultural Sales- Cover the Upper Midwest region, including states such as North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Montana, Wyoming, and Nebraska.
Contract Sales- Local sales within 75 Miles of Beresford
Travel within the territory to meet clients, demonstrate and observe the products, and attend industry events.

Skills and Qualifications:
Previous sales experience is required. Applicants who have proven experience in trailer or agricultural equipment sales, familiarity with engineering or manufacturing environments and contract sales or previous experience with product launches will be considered over other candidates.
Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills so they can communicate in an effective and professional manner both with team members and with customers.
This position requires that the candidate has strong organizational abilities to manage travel schedules, appointments, and documentation. They must also be self-driven and goal-oriented in order to successfully fill this role.

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: Primarily commission-based, rewarding your sales achievements.
Schedule: M-F 8:00am- 4:30pm, fluctuating as needed
Supervisor: EVP of MFG Operations
Work Location/Travel: The primary work location will be located in Sioux Falls SD, but will also travel to our manufacturing facility in Beresford SD. Additional travel outside of these two locations is projected to be 25-50% of the work time to meet with customers within territory or for company/industry events.
