Job Description
As a Business Development Manager, you will work within the PPG Canada Refinish organization. You will partner with the Canada West Territory Managers and Regional Manager to ensure that PPG is positioning itself in the automotive refinish aftermarket to secure new business and working with select existing strategic accounts to focus on body shop process and profitability. You will report to the PPG National Manager, Business Development & Solutions, Networks, MSOs, and OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the management team in the planning, targeting, engaging, and closing large new body shops doing more than $2M of insurance related work annually in the Western Canada marketplace from British Columbia through Manitoba.
- Support existing strategic PPG accounts in their efforts to improve body shop process and increase profitability.
- Mentor sales staff to secure potential strong regional strategic accounts
- Understand competitors, their offerings (products and services) and develop counter measures
- Maintain account target list with profiles; identify industry trends and develop initiatives to meet needs such trends may demand (e- commerce, insurance companies, supply direct)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required with at least 5 years of experience.
- Previous collision center experience is preferred.
- Up to 50% overnight travel required.
This job posting will require you to reside in the Vancouver or Calgary areas. Relocation will be provided for you should it be required.
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 CAD plus bonus.
