Freight Pro Logistics is a non-asset-based freight brokerage which serves as an intermediary between shippers and carriers. When our shippers need to "ship" their products or goods to their customers and others, we assist them in securing the proper transportation to do so with reliable carriers at a competitive price.
We are looking for detail-oriented candidates who can work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced, open office environment who understand the importance of good communication and the benefits of being proactive. Candidates must be comfortable with multi-tasking and with being responsible for meeting deadlines that come with certain duties as they are assigned.
As a Sales Representative and member of our sales team, your responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):
- Proactively prospecting for new customers.
- Accurately quoting any rate requests submitted to us by both established and potential customers as the need arises.
- Recording all sales activity and maintaining leads and other contacts in our CRM.
- Learning to utilize all our software including our CRM, CCP, and two TMSs to effectively perform all your other duties.
- Regularly checking in on your base of business (including in-person meetings).
- Helping operations and other departments to resolve issues or concerns that can arise with your base of business.
- Assisting IR with figuring out and adjusting margins within orders as the need arises.
- Informing customers of re-weighs, additional accessorials needed and other additional charges to their shipments when they arise.
- Answering incoming phone calls and responding to incoming emails in a timely manner.
- Physically coming into the office to work at least half of the time (after training and initial probationary period).
- Maintaining punctuality and good attendance, as well as availability during business hours.
- Being willing to work as a team player with all our departments like operations and IR and collaborate with other in-house salespeople to pursue and secure new business.
- Assisting with all other sales-related tasks which may be assigned to you as the need arises.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in transportation and logistics or supply-chain sales environments.
- Strong skills in territory management and direct sales strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
- Experience in inside sales is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with business development techniques to identify new market opportunities.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset but not mandatory.
- A self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
