Job Description
We are looking for a Sales Representative with a high degree of personal accountability, professionalism and independence. You should be dedicated in selling our products, meeting customer's needs, ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to working safely, and passionate about building customer relationships.
Responsibilities
The Outside Sales Representative - VMI will be the primary sales contact for a group of VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation customers in the Permian Basin. The applicant will be responsible for leading sales efforts, business development, strengthening relationships and securing new business for the Company. The candidate must be able to articulate to both business and technical users how our technology, products and services can best meet our customers' needs.
This role reports to the Manager VMI Sales and will work with the entire team of VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation employees. Position is based in our Odessa, TX location.
Job Duties:
- Services existing accounts, obtains new orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call o existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Adhere to all DOT driving log requirements.
- Keep up with vehicle and trailer cleaning and maintenance.
- Recommends changes in products and service, by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints quickly by investigating problems, developing solutions, communicating with management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional training. Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven sales success with experience in oil and gas and related industries preferred
- Must meet all DOT requirements (CDL not required)
- Must have experience pulling a gooseneck trailer (mobile warehouse) on a daily basis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service, meeting monthly sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting skills, client relationship management
- Highly self-motivated and disciplined
- Team player
- Excellent organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with an ERP and CRM system
- Experience in oil and gas industry
- Background of proven technical competence
