Job Title: IBMi Developer

Location: Baltimore, MD

Summary

Our client is currently hiring a highly experienced IBMi Developer with a passion for software development. This position will be based in Baltimore, MD, and will be an onsite position. It is full-time, with benefits starting on day #1 of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBMi platform.

· Create and maintain modular, scalable, and efficient RPG programs using RPG ILE and peripheral programs / APIs.

· Work with SQL and Embedded SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and database maintenance.

· Communicate effectively with management, peers, business analysts and SQA team members.

· Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization.

· Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and best practices.

Requirements:

· Approximately 10 years of experience as an IBMi RPG ILE Developer.

· Experience with Profound UI for modernizing IBMi applications.

· Proficiency in RPGILE, RPG Free, CL, and CLLE Programming.

· Extensive knowledge of SQL and Embedded SQL.

· Experience with modular design and a commitment to producing clean, maintainable code.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred qualifications, but not required:

· Familiarity with development tools such as RDI, Visual Studio Code, LMi, and GIT preferred.

· Experience with Azure DevOps work item tracking for project management preferred.

· Leadership experience is considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
