Johnstone Supply is looking for a Full-time Counter Sales Representative to join our team.

As a Counter Sales Representative working as part of our Counter Sales Team, you will cultivate relationships with potential customers and actively seeks new business opportunities. Working under the supervision of the Store Manager this position is a highly important part of business development team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences, boosting sales, and achieving long-term business growth on both residential and commercial sales.

Position Responsibilities

  • Providing customers with an exceptional experience at every interaction and routine follow-up. Taking orders over the phone, walk ins, email, or text, contacting customers and promoting Johnstone Supply’s products, services.
  • Required to gain a complete understanding of the order process, quotes, credits, bids, and backorders
  • Business development requires frequently collaborating with internal teams (e.g. sales, marketing, shipping, and receiving at all branches), so strong communications skills are essential in this position.
  • Required to share your knowledge of heating and cooling systems holding regular training seminars for customers and internal teams.
  • Requires a motivated, take initiative results-driven team member.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Actively participates in Health and Safety initiatives, policies and health and safety training.
  • Ability to handle customer concerns, address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Must be professional, positively representing Johnstone Supply in all job-related challenges.

Education, Experience & Other Skills

  • 2 - 4 years of related Inside Sales/HVAC Experience work experience; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.
  • Post-secondary training and/or certification is considered an asset.

Summary

Responsible for delivering high quality customer service to our customers in a fun and positive work environment. Must have a working knowledge of residential HVAC, the ability to multi-task and to meet the needs of the customer while creating an exceptional customer experience at every interaction.
