Position Summary:

The Medical Technologist (ASCP) -Hematology performs complex analytical procedures within the laboratory using practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical procedures and instrumentation. Phlebotomy is performed by dedicated phlebotomists at all sites. Responsible for generalist duties in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank and limited rapid microbiology.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Generalist MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or Certified in Hematology H(ASCP) or AMT or HEW certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic Beaker Experience
• WellSky Blood Bank Experience
• Familiarity with current instrumentation.

Instrumentation (>80% of all results are auto verified):

• Chemistry: Siemens - Advia XPT, Centaur XPT (Centaur CP at offsites), Aptio Track System; Rapid Point 500e Blood Gas Analyzers; Hologic TLiQ, Advanced Instruments Micro Osmometer.
• Hematology: Sysmex - XN 3100 Automation Line, SP-50 Stainer, DI-60 CellaVision, CS 5100, CS 2500, XN-550 (at offsites); bioMerieux Vidas, Bio Rad D-100 HbA1c Analyzer, Alcor iSED ESR Analyzer.
• Microbiology: bioMerieux - Vitek II XL, Virtuo; Hologic Panther, Cepheid Gene Xpert (Xpress at offsites), BD Veritor
• Urinalysis: Siemens - Novus w/ UF1000i, Clinitek Status
• Blood Bank (Core Lab Only): Ortho Vision Automated Blood Bank System
