Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Billing and Revenue Operations Specialist. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing and revenue operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Billing Management:
· Generate and distribute accurate invoices to clients/customers in a timely manner.
· Maintain billing records and ensure they are up-to-date and organized.
· Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes promptly and professionally.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing processes align with business objectives.
Revenue Recognition:
· Implement and maintain revenue recognition policies in accordance with accounting standards.
· Monitor and analyze revenue streams to identify trends and anomalies.
· Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
Process Improvement:
· Continuously evaluate billing and revenue operations processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
· Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
· Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for billing and revenue processes.
Data Analysis:
· Analyze billing and revenue data to generate insights and support decision-making.
· Prepare reports and presentations summarizing key metrics and findings.
· Utilize data visualization tools to present information in a clear and understandable format.
Compliance and Audit:
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to billing and revenue recognition.
· Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Customer Service:
· Serve as a point of contact for billing inquiries and issues from customers/clients.
· Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
· Proven experience in billing, revenue operations, or related roles.
· Understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
· Proficiency in billing software and accounting systems (e.g., Stripe, QuickBooks Online).
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Prior experience in process improvement initiatives is a plus.
· Certification such as Certified Revenue Management Professional (CRMP) or Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
