Product Marketer

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time

LOCATION: Cedar Rapids, IA

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE: 4+ years preferred

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Marketer to join our growing team. As a Product Marketer, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our products by developing and executing effective marketing strategies. This role requires a combination of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the market and customer needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, have a strong marketing background working with new products, experience working with multiple products at a time, and be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Our ideal candidate thrives in an innovative and agile environment and is a go-getter who works collaboratively and partners across matrixed teams to plan, implement, and support our technology by developing strong marketing materials. This role will develop collateral for new products, help with the development of brand guidelines and strategy, assist in product messaging, update and maintain collateral, and meet with sales and product teams to determine marketing needs.

What You’ll Accomplish and Experience

Market Research

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities and threats, providing valuable insights to shape product positioning and messaging.
  • Work as a member of the Market team to educate on market research
  • Participate in industry research opportunities, such as trade shows

Product Positioning and Messaging

  • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with the target audience.
  • Create differentiated value propositions to effectively communicate the unique features and benefits of our products.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
  • Define target customer segments, identify key channels, and create marketing plans to drive product awareness and adoption.

Content Development

  • Create engaging and impactful marketing collateral, including product guides, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing content.
  • Work closely with the content team to develop blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and other materials that showcase the value of our products.

Sales Enablement

  • Provide sales teams with the tools and resources needed to effectively sell the product, including training materials, product demonstrations, and competitive information.
  • Collaborate with sales to gather feedback and insights from the field to continuously refine and improve marketing strategies.

Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to generate leads and drive product adoption.
  • Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, social media, and events, to reach target audiences and achieve campaign goals.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on the effectiveness of marketing strategies and areas for improvement.

Desirable Previous Experience

  • Proven experience in product marketing, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with HubSpot and Asana preferred
  • This role will be traveling to trade shows for each business unit within CCR.
