As we continue to grow, we are seeking a driven Business Development Representative I to join our team and help expand our eCommerce and adjacent merchant segments.
The Business Development Representative I will play a critical role in identifying and generating new business opportunities in the eCommerce and related markets. This is a dynamic, fast-paced sales role focused on building relationships, understanding client needs, and offering tailored payment solutions that streamline eCommerce operations. You will be part of a high-energy team that thrives on driving growth and providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on identifying and targeting potential leads within the eCommerce sector and adjacent merchant-types such as subscription services, online retailers, and digital services. Generate new business opportunities through research, cold outreach, and strategic networking.
- Use a consultative sales approach to establish and nurture long-term relationships with eCommerce merchants, technology providers, and referral networks.
- Develop tailored sales presentations and proposals, highlighting the benefits of Quantum ePay's payment solutions for eCommerce and adjacent merchants, including additional vendor services, international processing, and marketplace services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of eCommerce industry trends, payment processing technologies, and best practices to effectively communicate Quantum ePay's unique value proposition.
- Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Partnerships to close deals, following up on leads, managing the pipeline, and ensuring timely follow-through on proposals.
- Track and update all sales activities, leads, and interactions in Salesforce, ensuring efficient follow-up and institutional knowledge retention.
- Participate in industry events, webinars, and online forums to promote Quantum ePay and build the company's brand presence in the eCommerce space.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years Card-Not-Present experience, preferably within eCommerce and Mid-Market channels.
- Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, payment gateways, online merchants, and industry trends.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present solutions and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close sales, particularly in the eCommerce space.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce experience a plus) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong negotiation, time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Meticulous attention to detail to drive profitability via your Schedule A and Referral Partner offerings
- Strong consultative sales skills, relationship building and customer services skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, quota-driven, results-oriented environment
Salary:
This role includes a base salary plus a comprehensive commission structure.
- Base salary range: $60,000 - $85,000 + uncapped residuals
Location:
- This role requires the employee to work onsite at our Anaheim Hills location.
