Private Events Sales Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all inquiries and leads are contacted and provided with all requested information to prospective client.
- Conduct initial consultations with clients to discuss all wedding options, including available wedding packages, desired type or style of wedding, and wedding budget.
- Schedule client meetings to tour vessel and to meet with Gateway Clipper Fleet staff and entertainment.
- Confer with clients to discuss and confirm all wedding details including selected menu, timing of events, entertainment, décor, and all other options chosen by client.
- Confirm that all client payments are scheduled and made in adherence with Gateway Clipper Fleet policies.
- Onsite monitor and lead for all wedding day activities to ensure that event runs smoothly and as contracted.
- Coordinate that all wedding specialty items and supplies are transported to the correct vessel.
- Attend all wedding related event trade shows.
- Prospect for new business including phone and in-person sales calls.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven Wedding and Event Planning Experience – 3+ years’ experience a must
- 3 or more years of Hospitality Industry Sales Experience
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and a working knowledge of Delphi/Amadeus Banquet Sales Program
- Strong Networking and Negotiating Skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented, methodical and creative process thinking a must
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33,838.00 - $66,619.00 per year

- Pittsburgh, PA 15219: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
