Project Analyst – Renewable Energy Sector -Hybrid Full Time Role -Meriden CT

Ideal qualifications requirement note: this role has been designed for a December 2024 graduate or a recent graduate since December 2022 with internships or after graduation experience in the energy sector.

Degree requirements: Bachelor’s degree options: Renewable Energy, Energy Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, or Business Administration, Construction Management.

What You’ll Do – Immediate

  • Co-manage and support multiple client engagements under the guidance of an experienced Program/Project Manager and the Vertical Director (e.g., policy analysis, rate analysis)
  • Maintain project management tools and assist with internal and project-specific functions as directed by the Program/Project Manager (e.g., presentation support, and site-specific data gathering).
  • Serve as a power user and provide valuable feedback on design and processes to support software product development.
  • Federal and state renewable energy policy research programs and their relative changes.
  • Facilitate general project administration, including tracking action items, managing documents, and meeting stakeholder reporting requirements.
  • Learn from an experienced, world-class team and master the processes of renewable energy development, diligence, execution, and investment.

What You’ll Do – Long-Term

  • Drive the development of more solar by helping standardize project development processes in the industry, raising the bar for quality.
  • Help in creating ideal customer profiles and relaying them to the sales team.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of new products and tools that serve project stakeholders through CSW Energy’s platform.
  • Help guide the company toward positive industry-specific federal and local policy changes.
  • Engage in critical internal initiatives and operations development.
  • Gradually assume greater responsibility for projects and client relationships, becoming a leader within our services group.

What You Have

  • Academic or project experience in renewable energy, energy, or adjacent industries (preferred) or a demonstrated interest in entering the renewable sector.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, project/operations/construction management, or business management/economics (preferred but not required).
  • A foundational understanding of the renewable energy project lifecycle, including project value drivers, development, financing, deployment, and asset management.
  • General knowledge of project management principles, customer success methods, and best practices, or an interest in pursuing project management certifications.

Location / Hours:

Our headquarters is moving from New Haven CT to Meriden CT. During your training period, you will invest over 50% of your time in our Meriden CT office. Occasional local travel to project sites in CT. No overnight travel is required at this time. The typical work hours are 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.

Salary:

Salary commensurate with experience and other factors.
