What we need from you:

Magna Hardwood Floors is searching for a highly motivated individual who is capable of both selling in a consultative manner as well as managing their territory. The focus will be on retail flooring, hardware and home improvement stores in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding cities in Ontario, Canada.

The ideal candidate will develop relationships with key accounts to maximize revenue and client retention. You act as a consultant by developing account strategies that provide the greatest opportunities to drive revenue.

A significant portion of business will be a result of both our strong reputation as well as repeat clientele. However, it is expected that each Sales Consultant will also proactively build a clientele to support their business, including existing clients, hardwood flooring stores and building materials stores.

Knowledge of the hardwood flooring and wholesale industry along with both selling and networking skills, would be key pieces to putting together a successful career with our company.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Utilization of consultative selling skills to build relationships
  • Effectively communicating the features and benefits of our services
  • Following up on sales leads/opportunity assessment
  • Flexibility to travel out of town and/or province
  • Territory management

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

  • University and /or college education preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate
  • Some knowledge of the wholesale of hardwood floor business
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas

Compensation:

  • Salary, Expenses, Commissions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Greater Toronto Area, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

  • sales: 1 year (required)
