Float Location: 2200 E. Maple Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245
Weekend Schedule: Yes on rotation with other schedulers (Saturday 0800-1200)
Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID
Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
1 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
Experience with surgery and procedure scheduling

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years’ recent experience working as a surgery/procedure scheduler
Experience with check-in process and insurance plans and benefits
Experience with MRI/CT/X-Ray and/or Therapy (PT/OT/SLP) surgery and procedure scheduling
Experience with CS-Link/Epic

Job Duties:

Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone
Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate
Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments
Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
Handle patient/provider correspondence
Explains policies, procedures, or services to patients
Sanitize workspace using provided supplies and following department guidelines

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.77 - $21.00 per hour
