Counter Sales Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store
- Communicate with customers to understand their purchasing needs and specifications
- Answer incoming sales phone calls
- Assist in ordering merchandise, as well as checking and restocking inventory
- Provide professional and quality customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Sell products, answer questions, and provide accurate information
- Address and resolve customers’ complaints and issues timely
- Process payments and refunds
- Research new product requests and write orders
- Adhere to the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the store
- Compile and maintain sales reports and other documentation
- Keep the workplace safe, clean, and tidy, and perform daily inspections of the store
- Establish and foster positive and professional relationships with customers
Counter Sales Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- Associate’s degree in retail management, marketing, or business administration is preferred
- Prior working experience as a Counter Sales, Sales Representative, or a similar role in HVAC/R industry
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and skills
- The ability to handle and manage a cash register
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Outstanding sales skills and persuasiveness
- Problem-solving
- Organization
Salary:
- $20 - $30 per hour
